For independent shops
Take a good shop to more towns.
Some of the best coffee shops, bakeries and counter restaurants never leave their home town. We work with a small number of owners who want to change that.
What we would do
You keep the brand and the day-to-day. We carry the work of growing it.
- Plan the expansion. We start with what makes the shop work: the menu, the suppliers, the people and the numbers. Then we decide together where another location makes sense and where it does not.
- Line up the financing. New locations take capital. We would help you find it and structure it so that growth does not put the original shop at risk.
- Build the franchise program. A franchise program starts as paperwork: the disclosure document, state filings, trademark protection, an operations manual and training. We would take that work on and help find franchisees who fit the brand.
Who it fits
- A shop with a loyal local following and an owner who is still involved.
- One to three locations today, with a format that could work somewhere else.
- A name you own or could protect.
- An owner who wants to grow and would rather not do the paperwork alone.
Franchise sales are regulated by the Federal Trade Commission and by several states. Nothing on this page is an offer to sell a franchise, and any program we build together would follow the disclosure and registration rules that apply.
